Radial Lizards

Sand Casting, 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, Milling

Inspired by neolithic design elements, this sculpture is intended as a decorative element with strong radial symmetry. The lizards are sand cast aluminum based off of a laser cut pattern, and the central hub is sand cast bronze based off of a 3D printed pattern. Each lizard is constrained to the central hub by two press fit pins, the holes for which were post machined on a manual mill. Furthermore, threaded holes were post-machined on the back of the central hub to allow for a sheet metal hanger.
