Angler fish seem to universally inspire both curiosity and fear. This lamp, designed to hang above a bed or desk for late night reading, plays on that juxtaposition and strives to elicit a feeling of ominous attraction. The body of the lamp is a hollow aluminum casting of a 3D-printed pattern that has been post machined on a mill. The bulb is a 3D printed polymer, and the mounting plate is walnut that has been routed for wire management. A simple switch masked with a turned mount provides power control.
