Inspired by Calycoceras Tarrantense fossils found in the Woodbine Formation in North Texas, this clock harnesses an ammonite’s natural adherence to the fibonacci sequence to tell time. The aluminum clock face is a sand casting of a hand carved pattern that has been post machined to incorporate a digital clock movement and turquoise hour markers. The stand, based on a caliper stand, is comprised of manually machined aluminum parts that have been anodized black and fastened together.
